Hey I’m Phoebe

I’m originally from London but currently living in Melbourne, Australia.

I work as a composer for screen and session pianist and I have taught a lot of lovely folks the piano over the years. I have played the piano for 20 years and I learnt with classical music and the ABRSM grading (1-8). I went to Cardiff University to study Music where I focused heavily on performance, composition and ethnomusicology (study of world music).

During the lessons we will look at the foundations to support all the fun of the pieces – there are many different ways to learn and we can find what works for you, interactive games for example. The same with practical, you may want to look at classical or perhaps a pop song or film score.

If you’re a parent looking to get your child into music, or someone who wants to understand music and play – the piano is a wonderful instrument and it’s a great starting platform for others later on.

Something I will always encourage is fun – learning music isn’t just about theory and technique, it encourages focus and creativity and brings confidence, which you can take to other areas of your life.

I do believe playing music is about how you express yourself musically, as well as a person. Everyone plays differently – and I would love to help you find your way.
