Peter Le Tissier is a pianist, horn player, composer, and conductor living and working in Edinburgh and across Lothian. Peter has degrees at both Undergraduate (BMus Hons, 1st Class) and Postgraduate (MMus, Distinction) levels from Royal Holloway, University of London.

As part of his degree programme, Peter has become extremely adept at a wide variety of musical areas, including (but not limited to) theory, composition, brass playing and conducting, all of which he excelled at during his degree. As well as this, Peter holds an ABRSM Grade 8 qualification in Piano, and an ABRSM Grade 8 with Distinction in Horn playing. He has held roles as principal Horn of a number of orchestras, as well as working as a freelance player across the UK.

Peter has taught Piano to students for over 5 years now, largely between beginner level and grade 5, working with children as young as 5 years old all the way up to adults. Peter’s pupils have had a 100% pass rate for ABRSM exams. As a conductor, coaching larger ensembles and running several orchestras across the UK has given Peter great experience in a wide variety of different teaching methods, for all kinds of instruments, and his work with musicians from Chiltern Music Academy with Royal Holloway, as well as being a member of staff on multiple international tours with the Thames Youth Orchestra, have given him a deep understanding of how to communicate effectively with, and make music enjoyable for, pupils of all ages.
